Promising to deliver south London’s most iconic landmark, Guildhouse Rosepride, in partnership with China Building Technique Group Co, intend to start construction on One Lansdowne Road in the fourth quarter of 2016.
In delivering a world-class building opposite London’s third Westfield shopping centre, the developers underlined their commitment to creating a great piece of architecture by employing Piers Gough of CZWG Architects.
Mr Gough has been spectacularly successful in producing a design which will rival The Shard and Battersea Power Station among the feature buildings on the capital’s skyline.
With two towers of 69 and 39 storeys, a glass-bottomed swimming pool spanning between the two buildings and the creation of the highest restaurant/bar in London as well as a viewing gallery at the top, One Lansdowne Road will change perceptions of Croydon forever.
Having secured planning permission in 2012, following detailed consultation with the London Borough of Croydon, Guildhouse Rosepride’s recently submitted revised planning application was recently submitted to include 917 and 190,000 sq ft of Grade A offices.
The swimming pool will span two towers at the 12th floor, with a bar/restaurant on the 65th and 66th floors and viewing gallery on the 67th floor.
Building to such a scale has been made possible by our partnership with the China Building Technique Co. Introduced to us by London Partners, the Mayor of London’s inward investment arm, CBTC are bringing their expertise to the design and construction of the towers and have been instrumental in making the building efficient and viable.
